Nigerian Passport Booklet Now Available

Nigerian Passport Booklet Now Available

The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Muhammad Babandede, has said that the Service now has standard passport booklets in sufficient quantity for issuance, and has therefore directed Passport Control Officers to clear the backlog of all outstanding applications.

A statement by NIS Public Relations Officer, Sunday James, says the CG has appealed to the general public to bear with the Service and has also called on applicants who applied and paid for the 64-Page Standard Passport Booklet to contact the Centres where they made the applications for processing of their applications, adding that the 32 page backlogs will be cleared this week.

In the same vein the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) has directed the immediate local production of the passport booklets in the country.

The CG appeals to all those who have had difficulty in getting their passport applications to kindly bear with the Service as, according to him, efforts have been concluded to attend to all other pending applications in all Processing Centres.

A source at the Nigerian Mission in Germany confirmed that passport booklets were now available even though not yet in sufficient numbers. Plans are underway to supply both the embassy in Berlin and the consulate in Frankfurt new stocks next week.

Babandede had issued a circular on 14 March accepting that there was a shortfall in the supply of passport booklets in response to the complaints of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora who had difficulties obtaining the travel document.

Nigerian Prisoners Uniform and its Significance

The Recent Internet Viral Photos of the Former Oyo State Governor's Daughter, Doctor Kemi Omololu Olunloyo, Signifies (1) That all Nigerians believing and Flying Green White Green are all Prisoners, We don't mean to disrespect any Nigerian, but seriously speaking, the Prisoners Uniform should be included in the changes introduced by the Government. (2) This means that Nigerians have no respect for humanity, How can a mere Cyber Crime lead to imprisonment, come to think of it, a lot of Bloggers have commited cyber crime several times and still go free, (3) We see a lot of Nigerians linched and burnt to death on the streets without Government Intervention, Imprisoning a Woman who just published a letter sent to her is like a big slap on human right, (4) Madam K.O.O. we know about her Numerous attack on Nigerian Celebrities or even celebrities worldwide, just like Wendy Williams, Oh this reminds me, if Wendy is a Nigerian, she would have made the Prison her second home. If you are a Nigerian Reading this Article, please hold on, don't disown Nigeria yet, because you are still flying the Green Colour, There is a Campaign now for the Change of Nigerian Prison Uniform from Green to any other Colour. (5) We are appealing to Nigeria to set Madam K.O.O. Free, while the Court case can be going on, it's even unlawful to wisk her away from her home, to another City so many Kilometers away. Like Majek Fashek said, Nigerians are Prisoners of Conscience, if this Pastor, (We refuse to call him a Man of God) should search his conscience very well, he will know that he is Guilty. If  He has ever preached that we have all sined and come short of the Glory of God, he would know that he is inclusive, even Jesus said, if you know that you are clean be the First to Cast a stone. If you know that you are free of all alegations on the letter published by Madam K.O.O. you should stand and defend yourself, instead of paying for the woman to be imprisoned.  FREE MADAM K.O.O. 2Baba Donates N3.5Million to help Refugees

Nigerian Superstar 2Baba Idibia  has donated N3.5 million to United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR, to provide life saving assistance for the internally displaced people in Africa.
2face through ‘2face Foundation’ has partnered several charity organisations before, but this is the highest.
The ‘African Queen’ singer, who had a sore throat after his performance at a Lagos concert over the weekend, visited the UNHCR office in Lagos on February 27 for the announcement along with his manager, Efe Omoregbe.
2face is the first Nigerian entertainer to support the fundraising campaign in Nigeria where over 1.8 million people are displaced.
‘I am proud to support the UN Refugee Agency because its proven track record of being at the fore front of displacement emergency,’ he said.
2face Idibia backed out of his February 6 nationwide protest against bad government in the country due to security reasons and possible multifaceted threats, but he now believes helping the poor is another way to make Nigeria and Africa a better place.
I want to help the people who have been forced to flee their homes because it is an issue I care about and this donation is one of such efforts.’
The singer also announced a charity concert – planned to hold in June – to raise more funds for the IDPs whilst offering royalties from his music.
